Results are really soon, 18th August. Well, really soon is relative. But these will dictate if I apply to Oxford or not (I think Oxford rather than Cambridge) and I am scared. I haven't updated in ages, I just don't know if I want this to be a personal journal or not, at the moment I think not and so I'm only writing university-related stuff but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of it going on in my life at the moment. I'm so nervous I guess! I sympathise with greensweaterlj about school being so stressful. It is. It's holidays now so I guess I should be having fun!

I have no contact time until lunch so I have been ordering university prospectuses. I still have no idea where I want to go or how much literature or language I want in an English course. I wish someone would just say "go to [insert university here]" or "don't even consider [insert university here]" as at the moment there is too much to think about!
I am also jealous of people like xhermiax who have been partying all weekend as my life is very boring, just work and university considerations. Sigh!

As this journal is only for university finding purposes I don't know whether aspects of life should come into it too. Since school is university related, I'll just say this: Why do stupid Biology examiners ask questions about cell fractionation? Or, why was this the one major area that I did not revise fully as my teacher told me that it was very unlikely to come up in the exam? (which was on Monday). In the future I will not listen to him and I will revise everything!!

I am very glad I found the 'Oxonians' community as everyone is very friendly! So if I have friended you, it's probably because you are a member there! Does anyone know of any good 'alternative' college webpages, as I find the official websites don't really provide all the information I would like.

Nobody will be reading this at first, but I hope they will be soon! I started this journal so I can meet people who can help me make university choices (I'm in year 12 so will apply in the autumn) as I am really stuck. I want to study English and I am thinking about applying to Oxford or Cambridge but I also am interested in hearing which other universities might be good, and also if Oxford or Cambridge would be better (and which colleges) I have loads of questions, so if anyone can help me out, please comment or even better, friend me!
